Brian J. Considine is a Senior Attorney with Dawda, Mann, Mulcahy & Sadler, PLC. He concentrates his practice in the areas of environmental law, including corporate environmental law and liability counseling, contaminated site cleanup, brownfield financing, commercial real estate due diligence, environmental/toxics litigation, natural resources and wetlands law and trademark and copyright law. His practice also includes counseling clients on Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards.

Brian’s environmental practice includes assisting a variety of corporate clients with matters involving the acquisition, sale and/or cleanup and closure of environmentally impaired properties. In that capacity, he has negotiated with several state environmental protection agencies in the Midwest, as well as with landowners, developers, and tenants to reach creative resolutions on a wide variety of environmental issues. He also has assisted clients with environmental due diligence and brownfield funding pertaining to property acquisition, including coordinating activities and strategies with environmental consultants. A large part of Brian’s practice is his proactive counseling to clients on ways to avoid or minimize environmental liability.

Brian’s Trademark and Copyright practice includes drafting and filing federal and state trademark applications and federal Copyright applications, responding to USPTO Trademark Office actions, counseling clients on licensing as well as state and federal Trademark and Copyright protections. His litigation experience includes the representation of corporate clients in toxic tort litigation and in industrial contamination claims. He has appeared before federal and state judicial and administrative forums. He is also one of the few attorneys in Michigan to earn the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Accredited Professional designation.

Brian earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law in 1995. He earned an M.S. in Environmental Science from Indiana University in 1991 and a B.S. in Biology from Marquette University in 1988. He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, as well as the Washington, D.C. Bar, and is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan. Brian also is a member of the Michigan Association of Environmental Professionals and the American Bar Association.
